After being close to elimination for The Voice Knockouts on Tuesday, November 12, Preble got a second chance thanks to Reba McEntire.

Preble, who was previously in buble teamperformed “Send in the Clowns” by Judy Collins for the elimination round. He was up against fellow contestants Shye and J. Paul.

“Edward, my friend, my tallest double. We stand on the shoulders of our heroes, my friend. Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, I can go down the list,” Bublé, 49, told Preble.

She continued, “I love that you guys are finding your way quickly and adapting and, most of all, you have a good soul. The whole crew that hangs out with you backstage was always like, ‘Wow, that kid is such a sweet kid.’ ‘”

During the other coaches’ commentary portion, McEntire expressed interest in Preble, but never outright said who she would choose to keep on her team if it were up to her.

“Edward, you’ve fascinated me from the beginning. For you to still be a teenager, you’re a very mature soul. Way to go, I’m excited,” McEntire, 69, said.

Then, when Bublé announced he was staying with Shye, Preble was very understanding.

“Honestly, I think you made a great choice. She has an incredible, powerful voice and I can see her going very far in this competition,” he said.

And just as he was going to hug Bublé goodbye, McEntire pressed his final steal button with a big smile.

“I wasn’t expecting you. Are you serious? You’re so sweet,” she said as she hugged McEntire.

In a face-to-face conversation, McEntire said she “loved Edward from the beginning.”

“He is a character. He has a great sense of humor and there are not many people who adopt that musical genre, but when they do, they are passionate about it, and that is seen with Edward,” the group “It’s Your Llame,” said the singer. . “It will be fun to work with him.”

During their one-on-one, Preble said she was “over the moon” and was jumping with excitement.
