Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase supports Zac Taylor’s decision to go for the win against the Ravens: “I agree with it 100%”

Cincinnati Bengals Coach Zac Taylor faced a mix of praise and criticism after going for two points instead of a possible extra point to tie the game late in the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s pass to Tanner Hudson fell incomplete, sealing the score at 35-34. victory for the crows.

Three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Burrow to bring the Bengals within a point, was among those who expressed support for Taylor’s aggressive approach late in the game.

“Of course. I agree with it 100%,” the star receiver told reporters about the coach’s decision to go for the win instead of a tie in the final seconds of the game.

Chase finished the night with 264 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

After the game, Taylor made it clear that the Bengals went to Baltimore “to win.”

“We expected to come here to win, and we did everything we could to do it. That doesn’t change the fact that I’m proud. I think everyone on that field fought, they gave us a chance. We lost. “It’s a game on the way to a good team and it’s disgusting that this has happened to us twice. Taylor told reporters.

Taylor also called Chase and Burrow’s performance against the Bengals “unbelievable.”

“That’s a good defense… They have a lot of talent there. I thought Ja’Marr stepped up in a big way. And at any time we can find ways to get him the ball… I thought Joe (Burrow) He did it. It was a great job and Ja’Marr finished a lot of those plays for us, so I thought they played great.”

The loss to the Ravens left Cincinnati with a 4-6 record.

Baltimore improved to 7-3. The Bengals will travel to California next week for a showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers.
