OXFORD- The Ole Miss Women’s Basketball The season got off to an exciting start, but the Rebels came close to a big win.

old miss lost 68-66 to USC in its season opener in Paris on Monday afternoon. The match was played at Adidas Arena as part of the Aflac Oui-Play game.

It was a back-and-forth game with 10 lead changes. The No. 21 Rebels were down 13 at the half, but rallied to take a late lead against the No. 3 Trojans.

KK Deans fueled Ole Miss’ comeback. The Ole Miss senior guard scored a team-high 19 points, 14 of which came in the second half.

Old Miss Coach Yolette McPhee-McCuin He said stopping Trojans guard JuJu Watkins would be key to winning. The sophomore star scored a game-high 27 points. Watkins did much of his damage from the free throw line, scoring 10 points.
