Reports of system failures at polling places in Champaign County got Election Day off to a mixed start.

Voters waiting in line at several locations said election officials told them technical difficulties were delaying the process. In some cases, those in line left because they were unsure how long it would take to remedy the situation.

Champaign County Clerk Aaron Ammons told WCIA this morning that he did not have a timeline for when the issues would be resolved.
