Pulaski County Officials Warn Voters About Fraudulent Texts in Elections

PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – Pulaski County officials are telling voters to be on the lookout for fraudulent election texts that have been circulating recently.

The text says: “According to our records, you did NOT vote early. Tomorrow is election day. Can America’s future count on you to vote? 13 hours. 780 minutes. That’s how much time you have tomorrow to save our county. “See you at the polls.”

Pulaski County Administrator Jonathan Sweet addressed the fake text messages by saying:

“Our citizens must be aware of these types of deceptive efforts. When in doubt, always contact your Registrar’s office and be sure not to let anything or anyone get in the way of you exercising your right and responsibility to vote.”
