Beth Ann White’s lawyer will appeal the conviction

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The woman convicted of driving drunk and killing a mother and her six-month-old son is appealing her convictions to the Mississippi Supreme Court.

Lawyers representing Beth Ann White filed the appeal on her behalf.

Back In May This year, just after White was convicted, Kevin Camp said he planned to appeal the guilty verdicts.

First, he filed an appeal requesting that a sentence be handed down without prejudice to the verdict in the case.

He wanted the court to ignore the jury’s decision to find White guilty or grant him a new trial.

Camp claims prosecutors failed to prove The white man was drunk. during the time of the fatal accident.

However, that the motion was deniedwhich is why Camp is now filing this latest appeal with the Mississippi Supreme Court.

In May, White was found guilty for four counts of aggravated DUI and one count of fourth offense DUI.

A jury found her guilty of drunk driving when she crashed into a killed Allison Conaway, 39, and her six-month-old son Alex, and also seriously injured Conaway’s two daughters, Chloe and Chelsea.

Earlier this year, a judge sentenced White to 110 years in prison.
