During an interview with police, prosecutors said the teacher explained that she is a special education teacher in a K-5 classroom at Bruce Elementary School. He said he knew and recognized Caldwell as the father of one of his students.

Court documents state the teacher claimed Caldwell aggressively approached her, threatened to “hit (expletive) her” and then pushed her against a wall. The teacher also claimed that Caldwell then hit her in the head several times and assaulted her in front of her entire class, which consisted of five adults and 29 students.
