Penn State Students Call for Boycott of Fox Sports Show Before Start Time

The Penn State faithful are calling for a repeat of the Big Ten’s regular-season schedule.

More often than not, Saturday’s long-awaited clash between the No. 3-ranked Nittany Lions and No. 4 Ohio State would receive the iconic elimination treatment during a night game at Beaver Stadium. But because the Fox Sports program Great start to midday will be broadcast from Happy Valley this week, the game will begin at 12 pm ET instead of being under the lights in a prime time slot.

Penn State fans are not happy.

“If anything is clear it’s this: This game should be a night game,” sophomore Ben Rosenbaum said. wrote for Estado Adelantea student-run Penn State blog. “…Fox has enjoyed taking away the fun of tailgating and the atmosphere that Beaver Stadium presents by testing us with several midday games. And now, in the biggest game of the year, it happens once again. Unacceptable.

“I’m asking you, Penn State students, to boycott the Big Noon Kickoff. Don’t show up. Imagine Urban Meyer hyping up to the ‘crowd.’ Cue the crickets, folks.

According The AthleticThe Penn State-Ohio State tilt was selected with the No. 5 pick by Fox Sports in its annual draft of college football games with CBS and NBC. It was announced as a noon start earlier this month.

Saturday will be a busy day on the Penn State campus, as ESPN reported college game day It will also take place in Happy Valley. It will be interesting to see if college game daywhich begins at 9 a.m. ET, will draw a larger crowd of Nittany Lions fans than Great start to middaywho takes air an hour later.
