Outer Banks Season 4, Volume 2 Just Debuted, But I Already Have Theories About Season 5

Warning: major spoilers ahead Outer benches Season 4, Volume 2!

like a huge Outer benches fan, I knew season 4, volume 2 would be a wild ride when it arrived Netflix release schedule after Volume 1 came out of the Pogues. in some of the worst places they have ever been. I had high hopes for the next five episodesbut unfortunately I didn’t see anything I wanted to happen. Instead, the Pogues lost one of their own in one of the most tragic deaths in any teen drama series, leaving the group of friends vowing to seek revenge as the credits began to roll.

Although I’m still trying to process everything that happened, my mind has already started theorizing about what will happen in the future. already renewed season 5.

The Pogues are going to have questions about how to avenge JJ

After losing JJ in the hands of his biological father GroffThe Pogues and Rafe can be seen burying JJ’s body in an unmarked grave in the Moroccan desert. It is Rafe who speaks first and tells the group that if it was his friend who had just been murdered, he would take revenge on the murderer. John B and Pope agree, and the season ends with Kie vowing to get revenge on Groff.

In the heat of the moment, this plan makes a lot of sense. The Pogues are devastated by their loss and the most logical way to overcome that pain is to go after the man who caused them this pain. However, as much as they hate Groff, neither of them are inherently killers.

Season 4 showed us time and time again that John B. struggles to pull the trigger because he worries about becoming his father. And sure, Pope may have killed Lighting in the final episode, but it later becomes clear that it wasn’t a decision he felt good about, even if it meant the world to Cleo.

Kie doesn’t have the heart of a killer either, and while I think he’ll come close to killing Groff, I don’t think he’ll pull the trigger. In fact, I think JJ’s voice will appear in her head and he will convince her not to do it because she never wanted anyone to put their life in danger at her expense.

In the end, I don’t see the Pogues actually murdering Groff because it goes against everything they stand for. However, the same cannot be said for Rafe. Given his desire for the Pogues to trust him and his on-again, off-again dynamic with Kie, he could be the one to save the day by giving the Pogues what they want without making them stoop to such malevolent levels.

Without the OG Pogues, life in Kildare is going to get worse

Tensions between the Kooks and the Pogues reached their highest point in Kildare when the Kooks sought to rezone The Cut and turn it into a space for everyone to live and hang out. John B and the gang may be young adults, but they have always been at the center of defending the Pogues and what is rightfully theirs. Without them for who knows how long, there is no one who can take on similar developers to protect the land.

There is also clearly tension between the Kooks and the police department headed by Sheriff Shoupe. With Shoupe already on the hook for the town’s wealthy residents, he’s likely to lose his job when they learn he let the Pogues go instead of arresting them.

With the position open, I can see the city electing the officer who tried to shoot JJ in Episode 6 to get the position of Sheriff, since he is clearly on the side of the Kooks. A corrupt police department and crackpots with unbridled power sounds like a recipe for disaster.

New group dynamics will emerge as they pursue Groff

Without JJ and a pregnant Sarah, the Pogues will likely see a change in their group dynamic. While Sarah spent much of this season risking her life and the lives of her babies to get the treasure, I don’t see that trend continuing once it starts showing. John B will be torn between wanting to pursue Groff and wanting to be there for Sarah. In short, I see the the best couple on the show Spending much of the final season apart so John B can seek revenge and Sarah can be safe.

It’s unlikely that the Pogues will want to leave Sarah alone wherever they decide is safe enough for her. While Kie stepped up to protect and remind Sarah that she was pregnant this season, she will be too full of rage and pain to stand by while the boys hunt down Groff. Instead, I see Cleo taking a backseat and staying back with Sarah since she too is going to recover from a gunshot wound to her arm.

This leaves the three remaining Pogues and Rafe seeking revenge. I think John B, Pope and Kie will stay together for most of the final season; Rafe will make his way into the group through Kie, as they have the most civil relationship. This will likely cause tensions between the four as they have different approaches to finding Groff and seeking revenge. Not to mention, John B and Pope might be apprehensive about how close Kie and Rafe might get since she was in a difficult situation. relationship with jj when he died.

The show will end happily with a time jump years into the future

Whether or not the Pogues manage to locate the Blue Crown and fulfill the wish promised in the artifact’s story remains to be seen. Regardless of whether they become financially rich, I believe that Outer benches It will end on a happy note.

Unlike season 3, which jumped just a few months into the future, I predict that season 5 will end with a time jump that will send us several years into the future. It may be a cliché, but I think we’ll have a scene with adult, John Breading a bedtime story to your child, except you don’t read a book, you tell your child everything about it.The life and death adventures he lived. Let’s continue with the Pogues. Just like his father did with him, John B. will instill a sense of adventure in his son. Maybe that’s what is rumored. OBX the spin-off will be discussed.

It is unclear if season 5 will appear on the TV schedule 2025 or laterbut hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to see how the Pogues stories will end. For now, you can rewatch the first four seasons with a netflix subscription.
