First responders rush to extinguish major fire at E Houston truck yard

First responders try to extinguish a large fire at a truck yard in east Houston.

The fire was first called around 12:40 Thursday afternoon in the 12000 block of Church Rd.

The fire was reportedly started by wooden pallets in the area.

Viewers contacted KPRC 2 about the fire, saying it was spreading and they heard explosions. We have also heard reports that there may be a house in the immediate vicinity of the fire.

First responders are on scene and the fire appears to be slowly de-escalating.
