    Highway worker dies from injuries after being hit by car on I-75

    A man was hospitalized with critical injuries on Nov. 6, 2024, after being hit by a car on I-75 in Detroit. (WDIV)

    DETROIT – A worker who was hit by a car after causing a fire on I-75 in Detroit on Wednesday died from his injuries.

    The accident occurred shortly before 1:45 pm on Wednesday, November 6 in the southbound lanes near Springwells Street. Police said a 71-year-old driver from Allen Park entered the right lane and struck the worker.who was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

    Police said that on Nov. 7, the road worker, a 53-year-old Lincoln Park man, died from his injuries.
