2024 Presidential Election Updates: Kamala Harris and Donald Trump Continue Campaign Blitz

Vice President Kamala Harris vowed that “nothing in the world” will stop her from fighting for Americans while speaking in Reno, Nevada, on Tuesday.

He referenced his time as a prosecutor in the neighboring state of California and said, “A lot of people here know that I’m not afraid of tough fights.”

“And I promise you that if you give me the opportunity to fight on your behalf as president, there will be nothing in the world that will stand in the way of me fighting for you,” Harris added. “For the people.”

During her first election rally in northern Nevada, she also criticized former President Donald Trump’s comments about protecting women.

“He said, on the issue of freedom of choice, reproductive freedom, he said he will do what he wants because, quote, he, this is his perspective, will do it ‘whether women like it or not.'” Whether they like it or not. to women,” Harris said. “Can you imagine?”

“He doesn’t believe women should have authority or agency over their own bodies. This is the same person who said women should be punished for their decisions,” she said, echoing comments she had made at campaign stops throughout throughout the day. “This is someone who simply does not respect women’s freedom or women’s intelligence to make decisions about their own lives.”

He closed the rally with a phrase he has used in recent days, telling those present that “in less than 90 days, he or I will be sitting in the Oval Office,” explaining that while Trump will enter that room with a list of enemies, she is prepared to walk in with a to-do list.

Although Harris’ remarks were interrupted several times by protesters, she addressed them by saying, “We are here because we fight for a democracy.”

He said it was “right” and “fine” that they were protesting at the event, because “we are fighting for the right to be heard and not to be jailed for speaking their minds.”

“We know what’s at stake,” Harris said.
