Would “very seriously” consider WH press secretary position

Alina Habba, a top ally and spokesperson for President-elect Trump, said Tuesday night that she would consider the opportunity to serve as his White House press secretary “very seriously.”

Habba, who appeared on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show, was asked three times about a report suggesting that she had “emerged as a favorite” to serve as Trump’s press secretary.

“Sean, you know me better than that,” Habba said, smiling. “You’d never have me on prime time if I answered questions like that.”

Habba, a lawyer who first gained notoriety defending Trump during his civil fraud case in New York, praised the Cabinet picks Trump made this week, including former Fox News host Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense and Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD). serve as secretary of DHS.

“It’s time to turn the page. It is time to defend America first,” Habba said. “It’s a decision they all have to make, not me.”

Hannity followed up for the third time and asked, “Serious question, if you were asked to play that role, would you do it?”, prompting more laughter from Habba.

“I am very loyal to President Trump. “I would think about it,” he said. “Very seriously.”

Habba is one of several allies and main assistants to the president-elect who is reportedly vying to run the White House press in the new administration.
