Rachel Ray She is happy being a childless dog lady.

But it’s a decision she admitted many fans have taken issue with. The former Food Network star hosted the celebrity trainer and ex big loser judge, Bob Harper about her I will sleep when I am dead podcast, where they bonded over their decision not to have children… but dogs.

“I chose to never have children,” Bob told Rachael on the Nov. 12 episode. “God loves all people who have children.”

Rachael quickly agreed, but added another layer to the conversation, noting, “Me too. And boy did they criticize me for it over the decades.”

But that didn’t lead the 56-year-old woman, who has been married to Juan Cusimano since 2005, changing his mind, as he is very happy to dedicate his life to caring for his dogs.

“They never respond,” Rachael joked about the difference between dogs and children. “They always want to hug you. “It just brings you a ray of light.”
