Man receives jail and probation for death of woman in traffic accident in Columbus

FULLERTON, Neb. (KSNB) – A Genoa man was sentenced to prison, a fine and probation for his role in the death from drunk driving of a Colombian woman.

Court records show Nathan Moseley, 19, was convicted in July of felony motor vehicle homicide and misdemeanor driving under the influence.

On November 8, he was sentenced to 90 days in jail, a $500 fine and five years of probation.

The Nance County Sheriff said Moseley was driving a vehicle with six passengers in the early morning hours of Dec. 2, 2023, when the vehicle overturned. The accident occurred on 470th Avenue in rural Nance County. Roxana Corona, 25, later died from her injuries. Moseley and the four other passengers were treated at area hospitals.

Court documents reveal his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
