COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash early this morning in Sumter County, the coroner’s office says.

The victim has been identified by the Coroner’s Office as Meagan Hudson, 22, of Sumter County.

The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at Pinewood and Wedgefield Road.

Hudson was rushed to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.

An autopsy will be performed Tuesday at the Medical College of Charleston.

The Sumter County Coroner’s Office and the Sumter Police Department are investigating.
