One man also died in the accident and two others were seriously injured.

The family of a mother who died in a horror accident have paid tribute to her. Jayne Green, 42, from Warrington, was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a crash on the A56 Chester Road. walton in Warrington on Sunday, November 10.

Police were called to the main road at 6.08pm after receiving a report of an accident between a white Seat Leon and a silver Nissan Note. The driver of the Seat, a 65-year-old man, and the rear seat passenger of the Nissan, Jayne Green, died at the scene.

Two other passengers in the Nissan were taken to hospital with serious injuries. In a tribute, Jayne’s family said: “Friends and family will sadly miss Jayne, who is a mother, sister, daughter and partner.”

Cheshire Police said the family asked for privacy at “a time of deep sadness” as they support other family members who were traveling in the same car and receive specialist medical treatment for serious injuries. The Daresbury Highway was also closed in the Chester Road crossing after the incident.
