LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A pedestrian who died in a crash in Lexington has been identified.

Police were sent to the scene of the accident on Winchester Road, near Ashton Drive, at around 6pm on Monday.

An adult female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Fayette County Coroner identified the victim as 43-year-old Angelina Wells.

The driver remained at the scene and no charges are expected.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
