Teen driver seriously injured after Monday morning crash…

A 17-year-old driver was seriously injured Monday morning after a crash in Gainesville.

The Georgia State Patrol said troopers responded to reports of an accident at Candler Road and State Route 60 at approximately 6:45 a.m.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the teen was driving a 2003 Honda CRV north on Candler Road. The teen reportedly failed to maintain lane and began traveling north in the southbound lane.

The teen’s car collided head-on with a stopped 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Kevin Sinder, 32, of Dawsonville.

The impact sent Sinder’s vehicle into the front of a 2003 Chevrolet C15 occupied by Nashawra Frame, 27, a 3-year-old boy and an 8-year-old boy from Snellville.

Frame’s car was then pushed into the front of a 2023 Kia Seltos driven by Christopher Biggers, 33, of Dahlonega.

The teenage driver was taken to a local hospital with suspected serious injuries.

Sinder was not transported but complained of possible injuries.
