WWE is off to a strangely slow start in announcing matches for its premium live event Survivor Series: WarGames on November 30, with only one matchup officially scheduled at this point.

Some creative directions suggest what some matches could be, including a major main event that will pit a reunited faction against another that has dominated after WrestleMania 40.

The Bloodline goes to war in the most appropriate main event

Solo Sikoa’s hostile takeover of The Bloodline following WrestleMania 40 and the implementation of new members Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and Jacob Fatu was met with opposition from the returning Roman Reigns at SummerSlam in August.

Since then, Reigns has battled the self-proclaimed new Tribal Chief for control of the family, only to often find himself outmatched due to a clear numerical disadvantage.

The return of Jimmy Uso and reunions with Jey Uso and Sami Zayn have evened the odds and set in motion what will be the main event of the upcoming show as OG Bloodline battles the revamped incarnation of Sikoa within the unforgiving confines of WarGames.

There are a lot of storylines at play, including the trust (or lack thereof) in the babyface team and the possible return of Paul Heyman.

The match has been months in the making and was seemingly tailor-made for WarGames. It’s all been steadily building up to this moment where the original Bloodline has come together again to thwart the challenge of an evil entity intent on taking over and forever altering the legacy of one of wrestling’s most historic families.

The general Bloodline saga has been going on for four years and continues to write new chapters. It is epic for its length and the number of artists and characters who have achieved stardom.

That is on full display in this highly anticipated match, with Zayn, Uso and the entire heel team reaching new levels of recognition due to their participation.

This would be right at home on a WrestleMania card, but luckily for WWE fans, they don’t have to wait until mid-April to see what happens when the two sides finally resolve their differences… or at least try to.

The continued rise of Damian Priest

Damian Priest cashed in his men’s Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 40 to become the World Heavyweight Champion.

During his career, he began to develop the confidence and presence necessary to be in that position on the card… just in time to drop the title to Gunther at SummerSlam as part of his babyface and excommunication from Judgment Day. .

Priest has since exorcised his past demons and refocused his attention on regaining a title he should never have lost, becoming the number one contender by defeating Dominik Mysterio, Sheamus and Seth Rollins in a Fatal 4-Way Match. to earn a chance at The General Ring.

While the match has yet to be officially announced, Survivor Series is likely the home of the Archer of Infamy’s championship opportunity against Gunther.

Priest proved himself to be an in-ring competitor in their previous encounter, pushing Gunther to the limit and countering his punch-filled offense with his own hard-hitting, brawl-filled arsenal. The two styles fit together well and if the match has a chance to play out without the interference that plagued the first, it could be a hidden gem on what will likely be a strong Survivor Series card.

It’s another step in Priest’s elevation from the silent, bodyguard type as part of The Judgment Day to the charismatic main event babyface we see today and one that benefits the company as a whole with the introduction of another legitimate star.
