Kano Pillars captain Rabiu Ali has called on the club’s fans to continue supporting the team no matter what challenges arise during the season.

Ali scored the only goal in Kano Pillars’ 1-0 away win against Bendel Insurance in Benin City on Saturday.

The veteran midfielder described the support from the fans during the match as overwhelming.

“We thank God for the victory and the support from our fans was overwhelming,” Ali said in a post-match interview.

“It felt like we were playing in Kano.

“We know our fans at home are constantly praying for us. As we wait to play again at the Sani Abacha Stadium, I urge all our supporters to accept whatever result we achieve.

“Football is about winning, drawing or losing, and we must accept all results as true fans.”
