OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police have released body camera footage showing an officer tackling a 70-year-old man to the ground who was later hospitalized.

The incident that occurred on October 17 began as a result of an argument over a traffic violation.

Police said that during the confrontation, the elderly man “sustained serious injuries that required hospitalization.”

As a result, the office was placed on administrative leave until the police investigation is concluded. The findings will be presented to the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office.
