WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash in West Hartford.

Police say the pedestrian was hit by a car around 5:06 p.m. in the area of ​​Oakwood Avenue and Saint James Street.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

They have not been identified, but police say they are adults.

Oakwood Avenue is closed between Seymour Avenue and Kane Street.

The closure is expected to last several hours while police investigate.
