A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Glasgow woman Sandie Butler.

The 40-year-old is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

Ms Butler was found seriously injured on St Mungo Avenue in the Townhead area of ​​the city on October 29 and died a short time later.

James McCrindle, 53, appeared in court Monday. accused of attacking and killing Butler and allegedly “struck her on the body with a knife or similar instrument.”

McCrindle did not enter a plea to the murder charge during the private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

He was remanded in custody and will appear in court again in eight days.
