Grand Island man faces federal charges

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) – The Hall County Jail administrator’s son faces federal drug and weapons charges.

Brandon Bahensky, 35, is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin and possession of a weapon during the commission of a drug offense.

On May 13, the Tri-Cities Drug Task Force Searches Bahensky’s Home in northern Grand Island. Court records show they found large amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, cocaine, heroin and marijuana. They also found drug paraphernalia and a 9 millimeter caliber handgun with ammunition.

Federal prosecutors filed charges against Bahensky last month. He was also ordered detained in federal custody, but it was not clear from court documents where.

Bahensky is the son of Hall County Department of Corrections Director Todd Bahensky.
