A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving in connection with a fatal crash.

Emergency services were called to Hucknall Road in Carrington, Nottingham, on Wednesday night, where a 23-year-old man was pronounced dead after being hit by a car.

The 23-year-old suspect, from Bestwood, was also charged with driving while impaired by drugs, driving without insurance, possession of cannabis and dishonestly failing to disclose information, Nottinghamshire Police said.

He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, police added.
