Yates County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Penn Yan man Thursday following a domestic incident involving a juvenile in the City of Torrey. Thomas L. McCann, 35, faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

Officers responded to a residence on Route 14 at approximately 9:13 a.m. after a report of a complaint involving a juvenile. Upon investigation, authorities determined that McCann had allegedly subjected a minor to unwanted physical contact and caused damage to property inside the home.

McCann was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail where he awaits arraignment in CAP Court.
