MINETTE BAY, Alabama (WALA) – A 46-year-old man faces several charges stemming from allegations that he had an inappropriate relationship with a child under the age of 16.

The Bay Minette Police Department, with the assistance of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Fernandius Lamar Lowman on Thursday.

After receiving a complaint in early October from a guardian of a minor about the alleged inappropriate relationship, Bay Minette police said their investigation found enough evidence to proceed. Investigators obtained arrest warrants for two counts of second-degree sodomy and one count of electronic solicitation of a minor.

Lowman is being held without bond until a bond hearing is scheduled.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
