Tamil cinema superstar Vijay, who recently launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, continues to make headlines with his political entry. Amid widespread curiosity and speculation about his new journey, Sathya Narayana Rao, brother of actor Rajinikanth, has expressed skepticism about Vijay’s prospects in Tamil Nadu politics. He claimed that Vijay cannot win in Tamil Nadu.

Rao, who was visiting the Meenakshi Amman temple in Madurai, addressed the media and shared his thoughts on Vijay’s political ambitions. When asked about the The last adventure of actor LeoRao stated, “Let him come, let Vijay try like Kamal Haasan,” making a clear reference to Haasan’s political journey with the Makkal Needhi Maiam party.

He noted that while everyone has the democratic right to enter politics, Vijay may face significant challenges in achieving political success in Tamil Nadu. He said that there is no point in Vijay joining politics at this stage and he couldn’t achieve anything with his political term and he can try whatever he wants.

“He has political ambitions, that’s why he has entered the field,” Rao added. “But I am not sure what he will do after entering politics. What I believe, however, is that Vijay cannot win in Tamil Nadu; It’s difficult,” Rao also hinted that he would keep a close eye on Vijay’s activities.

Vijay, a household name in Tamil Nadu known for his blockbusters and an ardent fan, officially entered the political scene in August 2024 with the formation of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). The actor’s party focuses on addressing social issues, youth empowerment and creating a transparent governance model in Tamil Nadu. Recently, TVK held its first major convention in Vikravandi, where Vijay presented his political vision and outlined his party’s key objectives.

Despite this promising start, Vijay’s political entry has received mixed responses. While some supporters enthusiastically support his vision, political analysts suggest he could face challenges similar to those of Kamal Haasan, who has struggled to make significant electoral gains.

On the work front, Vijay is currently busy with his films and political commitments. In the coming weeks he will begin his latest film with director H Vinoth.
