AEW Makes Changes to In-Arena Fan Experience for 2025

Fans attending AEW live events in 2025 will experience a different presentation within the venue during commercial breaks when no matches are taking place.

According to AEW executive vice president and head of global production, Mike Mansury in a commercial technical publicationThe company will switch to a “more sports-style presentation” during non-game commercial breaks, designed to entertain fans in attendance.

“Starting in 2025, we will see more sports-style presentations in the arena in terms of being able to entertain the audience when there is no in-ring content or recorded content as part of the television broadcast. “We want to create a nice split between the live event and the TV show, just to make the experience for those in the house feel a little more special,” he said.

The details or the date they will begin have not yet been revealed. Currently, the night’s ring announcer interacts with the crowd to kill time during breaks when nothing is happening in the ring.

The article notes the company’s investment in new technology in its production trucks that will help with in-stadium production elements in addition to general production. They’ve been using this technology for three months to work out the kinks to provide a seamless experience for those watching at home, even if issues arise behind the scenes.

Mansury also said that there are some details to be worked out regarding the impending simulcast between streaming service Max and TBS/TNT when it comes to Dynamite and Collision, as AEW currently produces a national and international broadcast. One of those details is how WBD wants to leverage those feeds with its own content.

He also said the July All In in Arlington, Globe Life Field in Texas, could have 20 to 25 cameras of all types, testing the new technology.
