ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – After an 11-week investigation, Joseph Solak, 48, of Rochester was arrested and charged with four felonies.

According to the Rochester Police Department, the arrest came after a proactive undercover operation targeting online offenders attempting to solicit minors to commit sexual acts.

RPD said the investigation found that Solak used another person’s persona and photo and exchanged messages with an investigator posing as a minor female.

Solak is charged with soliciting a child (or believed to be a child) via electronic communication to engage in sexual conduct, engaging in electronic communication relating to or describing sexual conduct with a child, soliciting a child who participates in an act of prohibited sexual conduct, and stalking – aggravated violations – through identity theft.
