What you need to know about the final season of ‘Yellowstone’

The long-awaited return of yellow stoneAmerica’s most-watched entertainment television show is finally here: Season 5, Part 2 will premiere Sunday, November 10 at 8 pm ET on Paramount Network and at 10 pm ET on on CBS. (The show won’t stream on Paramount+, but you can watch its prequels 1883 and 1923 there.)

The last time we saw Montana’s Duttons was on January 1, 2023, when the final episode of the first half of season 5 aired. The 2023 writers and actors strikes, plus filming disputes with the star Kevin Costner, 69, slowed down production on the second half of Season 5. But finally, hooray! – the Duttons (or most of them, at least) return to our small screens to play the final six episodes of the show.

Ready to return to the ranch on November 10? Here’s a rundown of where we leave things in 2023 and everything we know so far about what’s to come.

Fan-favorite Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly as passionate lovers Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton: Will they take over the Yellowstone ranch?

Supreme

This is where we left it

In season 5, part 1, patriarch John Dutton (Costner) is sworn in as governor of Montana and begins to take great measures to protect the Yellowstone Dutton ranch from his enemies. But Market Equities, the real estate company behind the ranch, calls for reinforcements to finally crush the Duttons. This season, tempestuous daughter Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), often ranked as the show’s most popular character ahead of Costner, takes on Market Equities head Caroline Warner (Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver, 77). , intensifying their already hostile relationship. Meanwhile, his son Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), who had walked away from the ranch to prioritize his own family (he lost a baby in a car accident, swerving to avoid a bison), finds himself drawn back into Dutton’s drama. In a parallel story, John’s adopted son, Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), grows closer to Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri), a ruthless lawyer for Market Equities, who subtly manipulates Jamie against her clan. This fuels constant tension in the family, especially between Beth and Jamie, whose relationship was long plagued by bitterness and betrayal. The middle of the season was a slow cliffhanger that pitted Jamie against Beth and John against Jamie.
