Can you bring children to vote in Texas?

You don’t need to hire a babysitter. In Texas, you can bring your children with you.

The Texas Election Code clearly states that a child under 18 years of age can go with his or her parents to a voting station.

In Dallas County, there is even a kids sticker who accompany their parents on election day.

Elizabeth Ojo, from Arlington ISD’s Lentejuelas Middle School, was the winner of the “future voter” design to give to young children.

The sticker says “I want to use an “I Voted” sticker too.”

Ojo said he got the idea to create the sticker by accompanying his parents to vote.

Although you can bring your children, they may have to wait.
