Harris proclaims joy, but Trump seems to be having fun

While Vice President Kamala Harris claims she is embracing the politics of joy, former President Donald Trump appears to be the one having a ton of fun in the run-up to Election Day. Known for performing at rallies to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” and dancing to the Village People’s “YMCA,” the former president had audiences laughing at rallies from Arizona to Virginia over the past week. Although harassed by the corporate media and leftists in the judicial system, Trump appears to be having more fun than ever along the way.

Final poll averages suggest Trump has the lead (and momentum) heading into Election Day. Really clear surveys Trump has led Harris by 0.1% in national polls and has surged in enough swing states to pass the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the presidency.

There have been no election-altering surprises in October: no Hunter Biden laptop, no missing emails. However, if there was one, it was President Joe Biden calls Trump supporters trash.

“Just the other day, a speaker at your rally called Puerto Rico a ‘floating island of garbage.’ Well, let me tell you something,” the president said during a virtual event, “the only trash I see floating around is his supporters.”

The comments outraged Trump supporters, as did Hillary Clinton’s comment calling them “deplorables” in 2016. However, the Trump campaign took the comments in stride. Following Biden’s comments, the former president held a press conference from the cab of a garbage truck with full campaign branding on the side.

The former president even participated in a rally wearing a reflective healthcare worker vest after the stunt.

The left-wing media has been going after Trump since his first run for president in 2016.

The Media Research Center released findings on October 28 showing that media coverage of Trump was 85% negative compared to 78% positive coverage of Harris on ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts for the 2024 presidential race. Analysts at the Media Research Center reviewed 660 stories about the presidential election on news channels from July 21, the day Biden ended his candidacy, through October 25.

In the 2016 presidential race, both Trump and Clinton received a large amount of negative coverage, with 91% negative for Trump and 79% negative for Clinton. In coverage for the 2020 race, Trump received 92% negative coverage and Biden received 66% positive coverage.

However, media bias hasn’t stopped Trump from expanding his support.

Trump, with a bold alternative media strategyhas brought together a diverse group of voices from across the political spectrum, including former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.businessman Elon Musk and former Representative Tulsi Gabbard, Republican of Hawaii.

During a recent interview at fox newsGabbard said she asks people in the audience to raise their hands if they are Democrats or former Democrats every time she speaks at a Trump event.

“At almost every event, 35 to 50% of the room will raise their hand,” he said in the Oct. 29 Fox & Friends Weekend interview.

What made Gabbard even more excited was the reaction of Trump supporters to those who raised their hands. Trump supporters “stood up and cheered and welcomed them (Democrats and former Democrats) and just surrounded them, really, with love and kindness.”

Gabbard said many people shared their experiences with her after the event.

“A lot of people came up to me at the end and said, ‘I came in here scared.’ I had never been to a political rally before. I didn’t know what to expect. I’m a Democrat, a lifelong Democrat, and I’ve never voted before. There are different variations of this, but each one comes out saying, ‘I’m voting for Donald Trump because of what I experienced here today,'” Gabbard said.

American voters may have attended Trump rallies for fun, but Trump needs them to stay until Election Day to win.
