They then played the clip of them trying before going on air as Ben struggled to lift Cat off the ground.

When he picked her up, she almost managed to stand up before falling to the ground and laughing.

It comes after a back and neck surgeon sounded the alarm about the dangerous move last week.

It could cause a host of neck and back problems, according to a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. Dr Rahul Shah of Premier Orthopedic Associates of New Jersey.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, Dr Shah explained why the move is so dangerous and warned it could lead to serious injuries.

“In the process of moving from a lying position to a standing position, muscles that people don’t normally use can be recruited, which could lead to injury,” Dr Shah told DailyMail.com.

“Specifically, if one does not have enough core strength to allow the individual to pull the leg, it can twist the spine and cause injury,” he added.

“In addition, the person pulling the leg may also not have enough strength or a stable platform from which to pull the leg, and this may result in injury to one or both parties involved.”

Cat and Ben opened the show and Ben asked Cat if she was okay after trying to do the move and said, 'Do you need medical assistance!?'

Dr Shah said the choreography could potentially “overload” the lower back and hips, which could lead to a herniated disc.

“If one overloads the lower back or hips, one can twist the back, hips or pelvis too much, resulting in injuries that can range from a pulled muscle to a herniated disc, or even a fracture if one is injured. falls while executing the maneuver,” Dr. Shah explained.

People who have “underlying back or hip injuries” should take special care when trying these moves at home.

And those who have weak cores should also avoid trying the fancy leg lift for their TikTok viewers.

“Also, if one has a slippery floor or an unstable platform, these movements should be avoided,” he added.

Dancing With The Stars, which has aired since 2005 and is currently in its 33rd season, pairs celebrities with professional dancers and has them compete live each week.

It has featured stars such as Kim Kardashian, Mark Cuban, Denise Richards, Kelly Osbourne and Wendy Williams as contestants, just to name a few.

But while entertaining, Dr Shah admitted to DailyMail.com that he still has some concerns about the show’s moves overall.

“I am concerned that the layman will attempt to perform the advanced maneuvers on DWTS without proper training or practice, as such moves, performed by a beginner, can lead to injury,” he shared with DailyMail.com.

So next time you watch Dancing With The Stars, you might want to keep the moves on screen and not in your real life.
