A man was seriously injured after a shooting inside a nightclub in Minneapolis on Sunday night.

A Minneapolis police spokesman said officers were working off-duty at the Vanquish nightclub for an event when they heard gunshots inside the club just before midnight.

Authorities found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Hennepin Healthcare Hospital for treatment.

Authorities say an initial investigation showed a fight led to gunshots. However, investigators are still working to learn more about what led up to the shooting.

Authorities say a man was arrested at the scene on an unrelated charge. So far no arrests have been made in the shooting.
