Harris’ final message of unity

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – With just one day left until Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris is spending her last full day of campaigning in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

After just three and a half months of campaigning across the country, Vice President Kamala Harris is ending her presidential campaign in the battleground state of Pennsylvania with a message of unity. The Harris Campaign has spent tens of millions of dollars on advertising and travel, in each of the seven swing states. Those states are Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada. Now, the campaign focuses on the running game. Jacob Rubashkin of Inside Elections says the goal is to get voters to the polls and cast their ballot.

“Therefore, it is up to campaigns to make sure that every potential supporter they have gets out to vote. And the campaign spent a lot of money, energy and manpower to make sure that happens, especially now that early voting and absentee voting have greatly expanded.”

Inside Elections’ Jacob Rubashkin says Harris’ campaign is closing with a message of unity while also trying to widen her lead among female voters.

“There are more women in this country than men, and women vote at a slightly higher rate. So if you had to choose whether you want to do really well with women and if you really do well with men, the numbers would suggest that you would probably want to do better with women.”

A big unknown heading into election night is how Nikki Haley supporters will vote. Haley won a significant percentage of the vote in the Republican primary. And Harris has been working hard over the past 100 days to reach those voters, hoping to gain their support in what is expected to be a very close election. Harris Walz’s campaign is so focused on Pennsylvania that a last-minute get-out-the-vote event will be held Tuesday morning in the state capital, Harrisburg.
