NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A 24-year-old man was shot and killed in the Warehouse District on Sunday (Nov. 3), according to NOPD.

The shooting took place in the 700 block of Tchoupitoulas Street.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 6:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that the victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical services declared the man dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations indicate that an unknown individual approached the victim outside and opened fire and immediately fled. Early reports suggest the man was the target.
