Motherwell 1-2 Rangers: Have your say

Reigning champions Rangers staged a second-half comeback to beat Motherwell and book a place in the Scottish League Cup final against Celtic, with Nedim Bajrami’s last-gasp deflected shot ultimately decisive.

Rangers fell behind when former Ibrox midfielder Andy Halliday stretched to beat Jack Butland after Jefte misread Steve Seddon’s wonderful cross from the left.

The turnaround in the second half was as quick as Rangers needed. Cyriel Dessers, who earlier missed a close-range shot, changed the game when he finished off Barron’s cross to end his eight-game goalless streak.

From there, the Rangers took control, showing more intensity and creativity to create clear-cut opportunities.

Jefte was magnificently denied by Aston Oxborough, who deflected the Brazilian’s volley onto the post. James Tavernier fired in, Bajrami failed to hide from close range and Oxborough again brilliantly denied Vaclav Cerny as Motherwell defended for their lives.

But after some good work from Cerny on the right, Bajrami’s deflected shot deceived Oxborough and Clement’s team did enough to avoid another damaging result.
