Mo Salah sends cryptic leaving message that he will ‘never forget’ Liverpool ‘no matter what’

Mohamed Salah sent a cryptic message to Liverpool fans on social media, stating that “no matter what happens”, he will “never forget what it feels like to score at Anfield”.

Salah is one of three Liverpool icons without a contract at the end of the season. He, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave the club at the same time.

Each of them would leave behind a true icon of the club, with Salah having 220 goals and 96 assists to his name, a Premier League trophy (and eighth place on the all-time Premier League goalscoring list), as well such as a Champions League, an FA Cup and two League Cups with the Reds.

There are no signs his contract will be renewed, amid pressure from the Saudi Pro League for his signature, and Salah has done little to quell rumors that he will leave with a recent instagram post.

He said: “This club belongs at the top of the table. Nothing less. All teams win games but in the end there is only 1 champion. “That’s what we want.”

“Thank you for your support last night. “No matter what happens, I will never forget what it feels like to score at Anfield.”

Carragher trusts Salah will stay

Before that post, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher suggested he was Salah and Van Dijk would almost certainly stay with the Reds, as they will not find a bigger team to go to and could break records at their current club.

“I’m pretty sure the two older boys will sign because I think they’re probably at a stage in their career where it’s difficult to move to a better club than Liverpool.”

“For me, the only two clubs when I was in a dressing room that players would want to move to would be the Spanish giants, but now I don’t see that for Virgil and Mo. And I think Mo Salah will be desperate. Break as many records as possible at Liverpool.

“When you’re looking for that last contract, it’s not really about money, but maybe the length of the contract for those guys as they get a little older.”

Liverpool summary: replacements sought for Salah

But Liverpool are working on the condition that Salah is not present next season, given that his contract has not yet been renewed.

They are eyeing both Karim Adeyemi and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia amid uncertainty over their superstar’s contract.

Chelsea, however, will give them competition for first, while the The Napoli man is said to be on the radar of new Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.

Meanwhile, Liverpool could send Alexander-Arnold before his contract ends, and the club know they still have a chance to make some money off him before that time comes.

With Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal out of action for a while after an ACL injury, the La Liga giants are pursuing Alexander-Arnold now rather than in the summer, with Liverpool believed to be sanctioned. a fine of €50 million (£42 million, $54.3). m) go out.
