Fans attending the first competitive match between two local soccer rivals in almost 35 years have been asked to arrive early.

League One Northampton Town host non-league Kettering Town in the FA Cup first round at 17:30 GMT.

The Cobblers said there was a “small” number of tickets left for home fans for the match, which will be broadcast live on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two.

The club said the Duston Mill car park was unavailable for the match due to a fireworks event, however the north gravel car park at the Sixfields Stadium is open.
