Watch: Akash Deep smashes Tom Latham’s stumps and gives an aggressive send-off in Mumbai

India fast bowler Akash Deep was seen at his aggressive best on Day 2 of the third Test against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, when he dismissed Tom Latham in the second session of the day’s play. Akash began the proceedings with the new ball in New Zealand’s second innings and trapped Latham in front of the stumps on the fourth ball of his over.

However, the decision was overturned by the third umpire as the New Zealand captain had gained an inside advantage on his pads. On the next ball, the speedster bowled an excellent delivery that came sharply from around the wicket to the left and broke his defense to dismantle the stumps. Having completely outplayed his batsman, Akash was visibly ecstatic as he punched the air in delight and aggressively dismissed the Blackcaps captain.
