Geneva man charged with grand larceny, investigators say four others involved

A Geneva man faces grand larceny and conspiracy charges after allegedly stealing two generators from a Waterloo business, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Harold J. Rivera, 41, was arrested Nov. 1 by Sheriff’s investigators and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy. Authorities allege that Rivera, along with four other individuals, entered the business, took two generators valued at $1,670 and left without paying.

Four of the five suspects involved have been detained and additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Rivera was arraigned at the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and is scheduled for arraignment in Centralized Trial Court.
