Week 9 High School Football: Who were Washington County’s Friday night winners?

The last week of Washington County regular high school football season It featured three games on Friday night, with two more scheduled for Saturday afternoon. This is what happened on Friday:

Parker DeBaugh scored four touchdowns and Boonsboro clinched the No. 1 seed in the Class 1A North playoffs with a 45-0 victory over rival Smithsburg (0-9).

Blake Main and Edward Boakye also ran for touchdowns in the second half for the visiting Warriors (8-1), who will host a first-round playoff game next weekend.

DeBaugh opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown on a snap in the first quarter. In the second quarter, he added a 25-yard scoring run on a sweep and caught a 19-yard touchdown pass from Colin Telemeco before Owen Hardy kicked a 20-yard field goal in the final seconds for a 24-yard lead. 0 at half time.

DeBaugh collected a punt that bounced and went 50 yards for his final touchdown of the game in the third quarter. Main added his 9-yard score later in the period, and Boakye scored from 15 yards out in the fourth quarter.

The Blazers (6-3) got touchdowns from seven different players in beating the visiting Panthers (3-6) to secure their second winning season in program history while also securing their first home playoff game in the Class 1A West.

Seth Possinger returned an interception 15 yards for a touchdown, Javin Grimes had an 11-yard touchdown run and Mason Brezler scored on a 6-yard pass from Hayden Hodge to give Clear Spring a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Blazers led 35-0 at halftime after a 1-yard touchdown run by Nick Cullember and a 37-yard touchdown run by Hodge.

Camden Whittington scored on a 20-yard run in the third quarter and Logan Fair added a 2-yard touchdown run in the fourth.

Hodge was 6-for-6 on extra-point shots and Mason Semler ran in for a 2-point conversion.

Williamsport 14, Manchester Valley 12

Ceonta Wilmore ran for the tying touchdown with a minute left in the fourth quarter, Taemyji Boyce-Brown scored the 2-point conversion to give the Wildcats (6-3) the lead and they held on to beat the Mavericks (2-7 ) to earn their fifth winning season in the last six years, as well as a first-round home game in the 2A-1A West playoffs.

Boyce-Brown also had a touchdown run in the first quarter.
