MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont residents who purchased a generic prescription drug in the last 15 years may be eligible for compensation.

The Vermont Attorney General’s Office announced two major multistate settlements with pharmaceutical companies Heritage Pharmaceuticals and Apotex on Friday. It comes after allegations that both companies carried out widespread conspiracies to artificially inflate drug prices.

Those who qualify will be notified or can visit the settlement website to determine eligibility.
