Sparking Zero Is Missing Some of DBZ’s Best Outfits, So Fans Are Modifying Them

Dragon Ball: Zero Sparks has the largest roster in the history of the 3D arena fighting franchise, but some players still want more. Specifically, more costumes, accessories, and other ways to customize the look of your iconic DBZ fighters, including shirts and jackets that take inspiration from deep cuts within the anime’s long history.

One of the most requested outfits is Goku’s pre-Cell Games sports jacket that he wears in his free time before the tournament. Another is Piccolo’s yellow “Postboy” t-shirt that he wears in the Trunks Saga filler episode in which he and Goku try to get their driver’s licenses. Street suits are not only fan favorites, they also show more casual sides of the characters and express a variety of personalities beyond standard battle suits.

The Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero subreddit has had fans scratching your head frequently why a game that is packed with fan service in other areas is missing these key costumes. Some worry that it simply means that Bandai Namco is planning to distribute each new style over months and years through a relentless drip of microtransaction add-ons as is done with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. SparkingZero seems destined to be the definitive DBZ simulator. , but no DBZ simulator is complete without more robust costume options.

Enter the modders who are at least bringing some of these costume changes to the PC version of the game. A Piccolo Postman Costume It was added to the GameBanana mod repository yesterday. There is also a mod for Vegeta’s Pink “Badman” Shirt at NexusMods. Of course, many other outfits are still missing, such as Goku and Vegeta’s “SAB” winter jackets from the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie and Gohan’s Kai suit from the Buu saga.

I can forgive some of these disappearing from the game at launch, but a lot of the best alternate costumes seem missing at the moment. I’m not above paying for all of them if they are implemented later. However, it would have been more satisfying if they were all unlockable at the end of the game.
