After being crowned PEOPLE’s Sexiest TV Show Host Alive (for the second year in a row he takes home the readers’ choice vote) Marcos Consuelos is enjoying the victory, even though he was rooting for his competitor Jimmy Fallon to achieve a victory.

During the October 29 episode of Lives with Kelly and Markwife and co-host of Consuelos, Kelly Riparevealed the First Winners of 2024 Sexiest Man Alive Readers’ Choice Pollincluding the winner of World’s Sexiest TV Show Host 2024: Consuelos.

After winning Seth Meyers, Mario Lopez and the highly competitive Fallon, 50, in what she jokingly called “the most important election of our time,” Consuelos, 53, seemed quite pleased, despite “supporting” tonight’s show host with your own votes.

After Ripa, 54, read the results and showered the 2024 winner with gifts, including a “Sexiest Host” trophy complete with a mirror, the Lives with Kelly and Mark The public asked for a speech and Consuelos agreed.

“I’d like to thank all the other nominees, especially Jimmy Fallon,” she said with a laugh, “for putting that QR code on his TV show.”

“I voted for Jimmy. “I’m sure it was very close,” he continued. “I voted for him several times. “I think my family voted for him, but America has spoken.”

After emitting some ribs towards the tonight’s show host – who He campaigned hard for the title — Consuelos turned to his wife and co-host and declared, “Truly, the only time I feel sexy is with you,” prompting a sarcastic response. “That’s a lot of nonsense,” Ripa, 54, joked.

Consuelos ended his victory lap by expressing some gratitude to those who chose him over Fallon (“that’s really, really nice”), as well as to the PEOPLE and the people. Lives with Kelly and Mark team behind his sexiest TV show host style.

And, when asked if she feels “sexier” after winning the honor for the second year in a row, Consuelos responded: “No. I feel exactly the same…once you become a parent, you don’t really…see yourself through your “Children’s eyes, and that’s when the sexy just goes away, I think.”

“Okay, thank you PEOPLE Magazine for embarrassing our kids,” Ripa concluded.

Consuelos’ win, along with readers’ choice poll winners like sexiest new heartthrob Jacob Elordi and sexiest musician Harry Styles, comes after a tough (and very public) exchange with Fallon.

Upon learning he had been nominated in September, Fallon joked about tonight’s show that both López and Consuelos should withdraw from the race. In response, Consuelos stayed in the race but cast her (and her mother’s) vote for the host, she revealed in instagram. “You are a shoe on”, the Lives with Kelly and Mark he said at that time.

And, reacting to their win in an exclusive chat with PEOPLE, Consuelos revealed that the couple even talked about the competition off-camera. “Yeah, we definitely got tons of text messages and it was really funny when he posted his campaign ad, his hatchet job against me,” the host told PEOPLE. “I died.”

“And we had a good laugh about it. And I absolutely voted for him,” he continued, adding that his “only concern” was that his fake flesh could “split the vote” and lead to a victory for Meyers or Lopez.
