Chiropractor arrested for harassing patient in Dahisar East | Mumbai News

MUMBAI: Dahisar police on Monday arrested a 36-year-old chiropractor after a female patient complained about indecent and inappropriate massage given to her during a therapy session.

The complainant, a resident of Dahisar, had pain in his legs and had consulted an orthopedic doctor in Rawalpada, Dahisar East. After she started experiencing more and more pain, she started the massage therapy session with the suspect last week, on the advice of her acquaintance.

The police officers said the chiropractor massaged her back during the session and claimed there was a hole in her spine that required a targeted massage. The woman, who brought up his diagnosis, agreed. However, during the massage, the woman alleged that the chiropractor acted as if an artery was pinched and needed further massage, and touched her inappropriately.

Frightened and irritated, she approached the police and based on her complaint, a report was registered against him.

The police then arrested the suspect and brought him to court. “We are scanning the recovered CCTV footage from the hospital to verify the case and collect evidence,” said a police officer from Dahisar police station.
