Caedrel’s LoL Worlds 2024 co-streams rocket him to the top of Twitch

Caedrel’s LoL Worlds 2024 co-streams rocket him to the top of Twitch

Caedrel has cemented himself as one of the biggest streamers on Twitch and has risen to the top of the Amazon platform.

While not immediately attracting millions of viewers and breaking records, Caedrel’s has racked up hundreds of thousands of viewers per co-stream of Worlds 2024 during last month’s matches.

He consistently beats Riot’s official stream, as well as other major co-streamers like Ibai. Caedrel’s Twitch channel has become the first way LoL fans watch the biggest international of the year.

This is made even more impressive because Ibai owns one of the teams that participated in the event and has broken Twitch records with massive event streams such as La Velada Del Año.

He had a peak concurrent viewership of over 300,000 during G2’s match against Bilibili Gaming at the event, making him by far the largest streamer on Twitch at the time. Meanwhile, Kai Cenat’s highest viewership last month was around 247,000.

Caedrel is not only the biggest streamer in LoL, he is one of the biggest streamers on Twitch. And according to Twitch Tracker statistics, he has been at the absolute top for the past month.

He has streamed a whopping 258 hours in the past month, covering almost every minute of worlds, providing analysis before and after match days, and streaming himself during break days. As Caedrel would say: mega pace.

However, there is a clear distinction between the days when Worlds matches take place and the days when they do not. He gets exponentially more viewers than he normally would have when match days are happening, with Caedrel’s stream being the main way many LoL fans have chosen to watch the event.

The days when Worlds 2024 was on hiatus are made abundantly clear when you look at this chart. Reaching nearly 30,000 viewers is nothing to scoff at, but it’s not much compared to drawing hundreds of thousands of viewers at a time on game days.

Worlds 2024 as a whole will break records in terms of viewership, already peaking at 3 million viewers. And that’s not even counting the Chinese numbers, as LoL is incredibly popular there.

That said, the tournament is still a long way from reaching the peak of 6.4 million viewers that the Grand Finals of Worlds 2023 had, making it the most-watched esports event of all time.
