More charges against Michigan doctor who allegedly filmed the sexual assault of a 6-year-old

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Seventeen additional charges have been filed against a Michigan doctor accused of using hidden cameras to record nude images of numerous women and young children over the past six years.

New charges against 40-year-old Oumair Aejaz include criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, criminal sexual conduct in the second degree, aggravated child sexual abuse, taking a photo of a person without clothing and using a computer to to commit a crime.

These new charges filed this week relate to a series of attacks on a six-year-old child spanning six different dates in 2023 and 2024.

It is alleged that the defendant sexually touched the child and recorded the attacks, said Oakland County Prosecutor Karen D. McDonald.

“We know there are additional victims, and we ask anyone with information to contact the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office at [email protected],” McDonald said in a statement.

Aejaz was previously charged in August with a slew of sex crimes for what Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said was “one of the most disgusting, potentially prolific and disturbing cases of sexual predator” he has seen in his career.

Aejaz is accused of recording in hospital rooms, locker rooms, closets, bathrooms and bedrooms at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc and Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, where he worked as a contract physician.

He is also accused of filming at the Goldfish Swim Club in Rochester.

Detectives also say Aejaz recorded sexual encounters he had with sleeping or unconscious patients.

Aejaz has Indian nationality and has been working in the US on a visa since 2011. He completed his residency at Detroit Sinai Grace Hospital before moving to Alabama. He returned to Oakland County in 2018.
